Your First Session

What to Expect

The first session isn't an interrogation or a checklist. It's a real conversation. We'll talk about what brought you in, what you're hoping to get out of therapy, and what your life looks like right now. We'll also start to look at patterns — in your relationships, your emotional world, and the way you move through stress.

In those early sessions, we're building a map together. Understanding your history, your attachment style, and how your nervous system tends to respond under pressure. This helps us create a treatment approach that's actually tailored to you, not a generic protocol applied to everyone.

From there, sessions typically happen weekly. Some weeks we'll do EMDR or somatic processing. Other weeks we'll work with what's showing up in real time — a conflict at work, a relational trigger, a moment where you noticed yourself shutting down or spiraling. The work is alive. It meets you where you are.
